La Jetee - The classic short that inspired "12 Monkeys".

'The Jetty' is a short film from the 1960th, about a man who's last ordinary memory is of a moment in his childhood, when he sees his mother in an airfield terminal.
What happened next was an Atomic Holocaust, which erased life from the planet's surface, and sent the remaining few survivors to the underground, for many years.
There they developed scientific society, with emphasis on experiments in Time Travel, in order to regain the moment before the atomic explosion.
The hero, who's mother's image is fixed in his mind, is sent back to the place and time of his last memory, the terminal, only to find again that there is no escape from the arrow of time.
Time control the last scene, where he is helpless in his attempt to change anything.

The film inspired the "12 Monkeys", a famous movie starring Bruce Willis. In that movie, the cause for the holocaust are biological viruses, which are spread by air transportation very fast around the world.

A SACRED DUTY: Applying Jewish Values To Help Heal The World

A Major Documentary on Current Environmental Threats and How Jewish Teachings Can Be Applied in Responding to These Threats.Produced by Emmy-Award-winning producer, director, writer, and cinematographer Lionel Friedberg, A SACRED DUTY will take its place alongside Al Gore's AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH and Leonardo di Caprio's THE ELEVENTH HOUR as another powerful expose of the dangers of global warming. However, it goes beyond the latter two films, by showing how religious responses can make a major difference and why a shift toward plant-based diets is an essential part of efforts to reduce global climate change and other environmental threats.

What makes this film unique is the religious POV and ESPECIALLY the Jewish focus because cit is RARE to see a Jewish POV on anything in the mainstream media.

*A Sacred Duty* proves that a *different kind* of monumental and urgently needed change needs to take place throughout the world if there will be any chance of stopping global warming.

It was originally commissioned and produced by members of Jewish Vegetarians of North America to educate people within their own Jewish community. For them, Al Gore forgot to include *cattle* as one big cause of global warming, and *vegetarianism* the number one solution.

Responsebility for the Animal Kingdom, through the religous concept of compassion, can indeed increase harmony between humankind and nature, which is manifested in the clearest way by the map of the Human Shape of Israel.

The film combines long scenes concerning the complicated ecological situation of the Land of Israel.
